Twitter experimenting with in-tweet analytics

Twitter experimenting with in-tweet analytics

Twitter is now testing showing analytics directly inside your tweets, so you can find out if you’re doing any good.

First spotted by The Verge, those included in the experiment see a ‘view analytics details’ button inside tweets on the mobile app. When tapped, you’re shown total impressions, engagement rate and more.

The feature gets its data from Twitter’s Analytics platform, which was recently made available for anyone on the service to use. The logical evolution of this new feature would be to directly promote tweets inside the mobile app.

This is one feature I hope the company graduates from experimental status; I’d love to know just how well my bad jokes do on Twitter.

It’s company policy for Twitter not to comment on experimental features.
